I have insurance for my car and household goods with Alexander Forbes Insurance. I needed to take my car to the panel beaters earlier this week. I pay the insurance company for the benefit of a hired car if my car is undergoing repairs. The repair work had been authorised by AF Insurance, and I had requested that a hired car be delivered at the panel beaters at 08:00 on the morning in question. I was sent confirmation that the hired car request had been approved, so off I went to take my car in.By 10:00 that morning, I was still sitting at the panel beaters without any form of transport. I had called AF Insurance 3 times, and not once did anyone bother to get back to me to inform me what was being done to alleviate my situation. After an enormously frustrating morning, I finally received a hired car at 13:30. No attempt has been made to explain what went wrong with the arrangements, or to apologise to me for the predicament I was left in. I deem this very poor service.
