I have a 2009 LR Freelander2 which has been making strange noises and difficult steering. I took the car into a LR service centre, and the findings were that the steering rack and pump needed replacing. The claim was sent to Motorite as my policy clearly states that those parts are covered 100%. After TWO weeks I was told to return the car to the service centre in order for them to send an assessor out, they then denied telling me this saying that the callcentre was simply explaining the procedure to me (I have since requested a copy of convo-STILL WAITING) and proceeded to cancel the claim WITHOUT sending an assessor, claiming that LR should replace said parts themselves. After speaking to LR they confirmed that the car was "out of warranty" and couldn't accept responsibility. HALLO, why else would I have purchased a Motorite policy?? I have since phoned around and discovered that Motorite have replaced these parts on other vehicles with the EXACT problem. Motorite are there just to take your money and give your a false sense of security and to search for loopholes, but I am not going to let this lie!! Will definitely keep you posted
