About a month ago I added a new vehicle to my profile. First of all the calculations the consultant gave me and the amounts shown on my policy differed and no one could give me an explanation why. After spending hours on the phone they then took R5000 of my account, my premium is R1900??? Once again they could not give me a reason why. Then all of a sudden there was a 90% increase on my homeowners premium, again without explanation. Taken into consideration that I have never claimed and even if I did 90%, ridiculous!!! I reversed the R5000 and paid the correct premium the same day and yesterday I received a letter stating I owe them R5000 or my policy will lapse. I haven't seen such a level of incompetence in a long while. I have tried numerous times to sort this out without success. Onbudsman here we come.
