On Friday 31/1/2014 our car broke down on R46 so we were stranded. My father (Client) suggested that we phone the 0800 111 777 (ABSA) number for assistance. I phoned at 19:32 where I was told that the call centre has high call volumes and we should give them our contact details, they will return our call. More than 30 min passed and nobody phoned. Phoned a family member to assist. NOBODY PHONED YET.
On Monday 3/2/2014 at 10:39 I phoned the action line to report the incident. I explained what happened and he (Aston) assured me some action will be taken.By the end of the call he couldn't provide me with a reference number and took my contact details to provide me with one. ALSO NOBODY PHONED.
On Tuesday 4/2/2014 at 9:59 I phoned the action line AGAIN to get some feedback. Guess who pick up, Aston. When I ask him what happened to my call his reply was "sir I forgot but I made a note to contact you". He then only submitted my claim and advise me that someone is going to give me a call by today (4/2/2014) or 5/02/2014. It's the 6th and STILL NOBODY contact me nor my father. This is really PATHETIC and I'M GLAD I'M NOT A ABSA CLIENT. Father is considering terminating business with ABSA
