Do you have the capacity to handle a simple claim?

My yard was flooded yesterday. I nicked my gate in an attempt to move my car to a safer position, unfortunately it got stuck due to the water. Phoned Miway at 13:30 and spent 26 (26!)minutes on the phone to lodge a claim. If this was time spent with a consultant it might've been acceptable, but it was a message assuring me that my call is REALLY important (the option for leaving a message takes you back to the start of the menu). Eventually got through to a lady that took down claim details and promised that towing service will phone. Followed up at 15:28, 15:29 (call cut) and 15:32 to be met by a bit of hostility. Turns out the number given to the towing co was wrong, luckily they found my address. Got a phone call this morning to say that assessor will phone to arrange inspection. I asked if I must file an accident report with the SAPD as no other party was involved and it was not on a public road. She did not know (fair enough) but assured me that I will be called back. It is 19:11 now and no call. Lastly: The assessor phoned me for the assessment... great... But in Koedoespoort. I am in Waterkloof Ridge, and the closest premises is in Koedoespoort? Surely you are jesting...
