Had the most brilliant ABSA experience at the Garden Route Mall last week. After being moved from pillar to post by two previous branches (Canal Walk and Barrydale), a once again tried to get Power of Attorney for my ailing mothers finances. After standing in the customer service queue for 10 minutes or so, a bright young lady approached me and enquired as to my needs. Her name is Rene Carelse, and she swiftly took me into her office and dealt with all the paperwork with absolutely no fuss. In less than 90min the entire process was handled, and after a follow up meeting the following day... Power of Attorney was in my hands. She also advised me as to the status of my own account at ABSA, and offered sound financial advice to boot. The entire experience was incredible. To the powers that be at ABSA, please take note of this wonderful member of your staff. Her name, once again, is Rene Carelse... I certainly wish there were more like her. Bravo.
