I am disgusted with OUTsurance, due to their employee lack of protocol knowledge. I now have to pay thousands of rands.
My car has hail damage due to the terribly hail storm in Nov 2012. I called OUTsurance&waited 3 weeks for someone to call me back&inform me that they can only fit my car in in April. I was then offered a payout by Outsurance (I took my car in to be assessed&they said the damage was R10 000) and they made the payout option sounds so amazing as I " would then have the time to find another panel beater to fix my car" so I signed the disclaimer and went the same day to FOUR YES FOUR different panel beaters. I was told that OUTsurance was serverely unquoted me and the cheapest quote I could get was R21 500. I call OUTsurance immediately and said please cancel my disclaimer, I do not want to be paid out (I had not received the money yet&no money was pending in my account) The employee I spoke too said I mustnt worry because before I even get paid out, I will receive a call. Well a day later, I receive an sms letting me know OUTsurance has proceeded to pay me out and I RECEIVED NO PHONE CALL!! A PHONE I WAS PROMISED& now I have to pay thousands in difference! Disgusted!
