I refer to the above account and subsequent phone calls to both Cell C (reference no 3-13080100094-5493) and Pholosa Attorneys dated 1 and 2 August 2013 respectively.
I confirm that I signed my first contract with Cell C in 2003 for 2 years, I then upgraded my contract for a further 2 years in 2005, at that stage I had a company phone and my Cell C phone was a secondary phone. Please forgive me but I do not remember if I upgraded my contract for a third time between 2007 and 2009.
Being a regular contract user I am completely aware of the cancellation process. On 7 August 2009 I cancelled my Cell C contract in the Pietermaritzburg Liberty Mall Branch, I also made several calls to your call centre requesting this contract to be cancelled clearly all to no avail.
During 2010 my account was still being debited by Cell C, at the stage I put a "Stop Order" on my account to stop any further transactions.
I have received a letter from Pholosa Attorneys that has been re routed to my new address, 4 years later to be told that I now owe Cell C an amount of R1530.95 when I queried this I was told to contact Cell C, which I did.
Cell C have confirmed that a contract was activated
