Essential Med
Non-Payment of Valid Claims

We have been an Essential Med policy holder since July 2013, and since the Day-to-Day benefits took effect, we had nothing but trouble.

Our first run-in with Essential Med happened when I consulted with a GP. The GP refused to see me on policy, and required that I pay upfront. Fortunately, I was reimbursed.

Following this, I looked for a new doctor. Eventually, I found a GP (Dr. van Aswegen - 1518895), and consulted him. The doctor saw me, and the accounts lady processed the claim on 13 September.

Unfortunately, the doctor's office called me in December, claiming that this account is 90 days overdue. They also advised me that they contacted your offices about this and you had some story every time. I immediately contacted you. I was eventually forced to refer it to management due to no reply.

This morning I received another call from the GP saying payment was not yet made.

The doctor is threatening to refer this matter for collection. This is gross negligence on your part, and you will be liable for all damages resulting there from.

If this matter is not resolved by close of business, I will be forced to consider other action.
