We have joined a cheat hospital plan just for emergencies, 2 weeks ago i became very ill and i had a bad cramp on my right hand site of my stomach, with my knowledge it will be my apedix i phoned essential med to ask them to wish doctor i can go to. The doctor they gave me a no for wasnt even a registerd doctor for i had to use my own money to see a doctor for i was in so much pain. this wasnt the first time it have happened. we did cancel our policy and i refuse to pay them ekstra money for this month for the last month payement for i had to use R1900.00 just to see a doctor on my own for essential med didnt have any registered gp's in my area the east rand. we even tried to buy the medicine the doctor have precribed for me at clicks lambton like its registerd on essential med website where i can get my medicine, the poor parmachist behind the counter have the letter with all the registered doctors practise no; just to help me get medicine for i had not enough money but to our knowledge not one that was on the list on essential med website was registered. she couldnt helped me. i refuse to pay this month for what??? no service you pay for nothing. do not use essential med!
