I have had a FNB credit card for over 30 years, and I joined the e bucks program when it was first started. At that time and for many years since i was awarded 1 e buck for every 10 rand spent excluding petrol, no matter what type of card i held or where i purchased the goods. (or 10%)
Recently E bucks started advertising up to 15% back when shopping at CHECKERS and so I started shopping there more BUT when i checked what extra e bucks i was receiving i discovered, INFACT I AM NOW RECEIVING LESS THAN BEFORE AND NOT ONLY that there is a discrepancy between what i SPENT and what I QUALIFY at checkers, to receive the REDUCED number of e bucks. WHAT A RIP OFF. On querying this at the call centre I was given an explanation that could not be true based on their own account then left hanging on for 15 minutes with no comeback. On calling again and finally getting a supervisor, I was given the correct way of calculating what e bucks i qualify for, but again no one could explain the discrepency and i was cut off. The only option i now have is either NOT to shop at checkers or change my credit card provider. I feel i am being penalized for shopping at Checkers!!!
