Woke up & saw debit order had come off, for R2044, for my car - STRANGE!!! Because My car payment is always the same amount about R1485... Called Absa asked what is this, they tell me it's for my car comprehensive insurance, I must take up with relevant dept - call them and am told If I did not respnd to a) a phone call, b) a letter by post c) an sms; then they automatically add on car insurance premium, mind you about R565 (besides the point but more than I pay with current insurance) HOW DARE ABSA DO THIS??? I'm very observant, I did not get any mail or any sms - I DID GET a phone call more than once in the past and have on NUMEROUS occasions stated NO THANKS I ALREADY HAVE COVER - Aren't these calls recorded? Isn't the information logged? when MTN call me for cellphone offers I decline, when STD BANK offer me credit cards I decline, I am happy with ABSA, I support ABSA & want to in the future but I am WELLLL PISSSED off about this. I've had my insurance send the documents to sort it out - if it;s not sorted within a short amount of working days I will leave my car financed with ABSA but move all my money & accounts to FNB. I don't need this inconvenience again!!!
