What is the point of ensuring with them

In November i purchased a home No99 2nd Ave geduld springs, due to it being the rainy season i noticed leaks on the roof. I reported this to outsurance they did not respond till the ceilling in the kitchen burst. In the 2nd week of jan a assessor came, then on 16th jan i recieved a call from Thami who told me my claim had been rejected cause the damage was caused by a pre-existing problem. He gave me outsurances' numbers to enquire or lay a complain i then spoke to Wesley who told me i was supposed to get a contractor to view the house before purchase, i then asked him is this enforced on clients before they take up insurance on a home and he said no.
We are deeply disappointed in the service we recieved from this company considering thier slogan "you always get something out"
