I was informed by Rita Bekker that the claim (Hail Damage) to repair my car was approved based on the claim and the quote that was provided to them. I was unsure from the beginning because of the amount the roof wil cost to repair, and that the claim would be to high, and that the car might be written off, so I informed Rita about this. She told me that they don't wright off cars and I should just send my quotation and they'll pay! We continuesly discussed the amount of R 111 099.24, where she mentioned they wil negotiate with the pannel beaters to reduce the price. She also informed me that the approval was sent to the pannel beaters for the car to be repaired. Only to find out from the pannel beaters that the approved amount was only for R 9 071.79 instead of R 111 099.24. From the time on the 29 Nov 2013 to 23 Jan 2014, I was never informed that the assesor never mentioned the damage to the soft top roof. Now another assesor needs to come out and re evaluate the soft top to prove that the damage to the roof was actually caused by the hail on 28 Nov 2013, that was why the claim was origianally raised! I was misled to believe that my car would be repaired based on the quotation!
