Internet banking is locked, I am overseas

I am currently located in Toronto due to business and will be here for another 2 years. I have an active absa account in SA and inadvertently mistyped my pin and my internet banking account has now been locked. I have contacted the branch manager in Somerset West and was told to get a notarised lawyer's contract requesting transfer of attorney to my a family member currently residing in SA. This was done and original contract was couriered to SA. Family member goes into branch last week with contract te be told that the legal department will not accept the notarised lawyer's contract as the contract was not stamped or signed by the SA Consulate here in Toronto.
Phone the branch manager again and am told I need to get the original contract to him and he will liase with legal department as he is also unsure now. Problem is that the originals are already on their way to legal department. So I contact Absa's legal department, explain and am told they cannot help and transfer me to Internet Banking dept where I am told the best is to COME INTO THE BANK MYSELF!
Can someone please give me a CLEAR answer on how to resolve this without wasting anymore of my TIME or MONEY!!!
