I was insured with Santam but changed to another insurer because my excess to replace my chipped windscreen was R2 500. Yes R2 500 I have to pay in to get a new windscreen.
So I notified them on the 24/01/2013 to cancel my policy and cancel my debit order (which only goes off on the first of every month so they still had 7days to cancel it). I did not get any confirmation that they cancelled my policy. No, I had to phone again and again to confirm it was cancelled.
And then still they take my money!! After I specifically said not to!!
They don't even bother to say sorry we will correct this, no they just take it and pretend nothing happened. Hopefully I wont even miss it...
So please think twice before insuring with them!
