Terrible Service and Incompetence

Having taken out a policy with Regent in January 2013, my first claim was for a minor vehicle repair after an accident in November 2013. When making the claim I was told that my excess would be an extra R8000 because their records showed that I had not done an inspection within 7 days of the policy, only to find out that the mistake was actually on their side. Thereafter I was told to take my vehicle to a panelbeater that was not actually authorised to work on my make of vehicle. Then there hidden costs for the use of the courtesy car even though this was not explained to me when I took out the policy. To top it all off my request for the arrangement of collection of the courtesy vehicle when I got my car from the panelbeater was not sent through. I am beyond furious with this whole unpleasant process! Stay away from Regent Insurance... their premiums might be a bit cheaper, but even if their insurance was free it would not be worth the trouble.
