Opened a transactor account last year August which had its fair share of problems. Yesterday I get policy documents from Nedgroup lIfe for a R5000 burial policy which I never requested. Of which the premiums will be deducted from my account. When I contacted the call centre I was told I need to send a cancellation form through. When I insisted on finding out who was responsible for the unauthorised enrolment I was given the name of Sebastian Pillay. When I contacted him he said that it was a packaged deal and that all transactor accounts have the policy included. This practise, in my opinion, is unlawful and the responsible people should be dealt with. I now have to run around making sure that the policy is cancelled and I am not debited for this. I do know that I will be closing the Transactor account this week, as I do not want any more surprises from Nedbank.
