I am usually a fan of FNB, but their Personal Loans dept are terrible for feedback. I was approved for a personal loan to finance a solar installation, but they wanted to add 5 extra payment-holiday months into the contract proposal to maximise their interest. I didn't want the payment holiday, so I asked to make it 5 years as requested. I called and emailed, since I needed to urgently complete this in order to get my Eskom rebate on the installation. Mbali promised to come back to me the same day, but never did. I eventually signed the loan with another finance house, since I cannot stand bad service. We were 99% ready to sign, but FNB could not respond on one simple matter (which I feel is dishonest on their part anyway, since it creates unnecessary interest to pay). Hope you get your act together on Personal Loans and start LISTENING to your customers!
