On the 28th November 2013, a hail storm hit the Pretoria area, my house is one of the houses that were affected, severely. I called Absa Insurance as my house was under their Insurance. On the 4th December 2013, an assessor from Digicall, contracted to Absa, made an assessment of the damages and submitted his report to Absa Insurance. To date nothing has come of it. I have been calling Absa, they have been sending me from pillar to post. And at times their phone lines are not answered. The damages in my house got worse, the brandering got rotten because of the rain, my carpets are wasted, my whole wooden floor is a complete waste, ABSA Insurance is not paying. I requested them to come and make a reassessment of the house, since the last assessment on the 4th December 2013, its now more than TWO MONTHS since that. I have put the house up for sale in October and it was bought in November, way before the storm of the 28th. I am about to loose money, because of the UNPROFFESSIONAL, INEFFECIENT and DAMAGING service rendered by ABSA. PLEASE HELP, my house is getting wasted by the passing of each day. ABSA IS BAD NEWS. I have been speaking to a consultant, Nomfundo Hlanga there.
