As alway I took a payment check from google south africa to fnb to deposit the not transferable check into my account. The tellers told me they do not except checks from google any more. This was news to me. According to me google is one of the biggest companies in the world having a lot of cash and now FNB does not want to except it.
On a check thefollowing happens. You bank it, You wait 14 days for it to clear. Then you can use the money. If it does not clear in this case google is in and the bank charges them a abrobant fee of R100 for check not honoured.
If it clears there is no problem.
My questions is what risk does fnb take in taking the check. They will make a of a lot of money from clients banking it or even from checks not clearing.
Because of this I am closing all 5 accounts of mine with fnb and I urge people with google income to jon another bank that does except google checks.
Does fnb still want our cash/ checks or any other over the counter money, or are they going interne tcurrency. When are they taking bitcoins for payments or offering it as withdrawal effort.
FNB is not my best recommended bank at all any more.
