Delay tactics and reluctant to pay out

I was involved in accident on 26 December 2013 which resulted in the vehicle being a write off. The car was then towed to the panel beater workshop and will only be assessed on 6 January 2014. On the 8 January 2014 I sent all the required documentation to the claims advisor Katlego Sibanyoni who advised it would take a week for pay out. I then called them today and was told it would take another week because they need to listen to recordings of when I joined previous insurance. What have that got to do with the payout of my vehicle. This has been the first time I have been in an accident and never claimed from previous insurance. Im fedup of Miway's delay tactics. They are a big. They are trying every excuse not to pay me out because this car is brand new. I am taking this matter to the ombudsman and will warn everyone not to join miway. They clearly don't live up to their name because they not doing it my way. Due to this I wont be able to buy another vehicle till they pay me out. I need to take my child to school and appointments, now im stranded. All insurances are a bunch of and whats the point of having insurance.
