My mother passed away on the 5th of December and she had a funeral policy with the above named company. Upon notifying them about her death, they sent me forms and told me all the requirements for them to pay out. I sent through ALL the documents they required and to this day they have not paid out anything. They say they need a computerised death certificate which home affairs does not issue to foreign citizens. I also went to the Zimbabwean Consulate who typed out a letter to state that Zimbabwe does not issue out a computerised death certificate to people who pass away in another country. They say they need proof that my mother is indeed dead. They have her death certificate, notice of death document, letter from the consulate, my late mother's passport stamped with a deceased stamp. I would not advise any one to take out a policy with this company. I am not sure what more they would like from me, if i had asked them to take my mother home, does this mean we would still be waiting. I have just gone through the worst pain in my life and they dont realise that my mother worked hard and paid her policy every month.
