On the 6th December '13 I phoned ABSA Insurance to report a claim. I had lightening damage that has affected my gate motor and alarm system. I advised that this is a huge security risk as I have had builders in and out for the past week. I was assured that I would be contacted within 24-48 hrs. Its now going on 144hrs and I still have heard nothing from ABSA insurance. Their claims department DOES NOT answer phone calls (0102115921) - I have been on hold for over an hour on numerous occasions! I have also been given the following numbers by call centre staff who assured me I would be assisted by managers on the other end: 0115018517; 0115018513; 0115018602.
I find it disgusting that for 6 days I have not been able to speak to anybody to give me feedback on the claim. I am at huge risk as my gate is now on manual and I do not have a functioning alarm system!!
Come back to me ABSA Insurance!!!
