Some time last year some notifications were sent to me about debit orders that I knew nothing about. On the notification there is a message that says: reply yes if you are unaware of this debit order/s and FNB will contact you. I did but no one contacted me. The problem continued and I kept on replying and nothing happened. I then went to the bank and demanded an explanation but she could not tell me who the beneficiaries were. She gave me a bunch of forms to sign and promised to stop the debit orders and refund the money. When the debit orders continued I decided to go back to the bank and another consultant gave me a bunch of forms to sign again and promised not only to stop the illegal deductions but also to refund the deducted monies. On the 8th of Jan 2014 I got another notice of deductions in favour of the same debit orders. Although FNB has good products, I always keep less money at FNB because of 2 reasons:1.Very high bank charges compared to other banks 2. Blank consultants who sit starring at the computer screen but have nothing to tell you. Please help because the only option left for me is to close the account. FNB... How can we help you?...*wish it was true*
