Claim launched on 19/12/2013 and perfectly dealt with by Palesa Mashilwane who organised hired car and assessor before going on leave. In her absence Reyleisha Moodley dealt with claim but only from the 2nd of January 2014. After all the required documents were submitted there was no feedback from Discovery till I contacted them on 6/01/2014. I was then told that my claim has been rejected due to the fact that Pre-inspection was not done. I then requested to speak to one of the Snr Managers who confirmed that the claim had indeed been rejected and that they will refund my premiums. Till today thou, I have not received that rejection in writing. The fact is that I don't remember being told to take my car for pre inspection. I admit I may have missed that but I had a wind screen chip claim on 25 November 2013 and that was approved without any questions. I stand to be corrected but I think I should have been told about the pre inspection when I submitted that claim. How are these claims treated? Just because that one was only for R399 it was approved and because this one is for R30 000 its been rejected. I think Discovery Insure is just discrediting the Discovery brand period!
