I had opened a 32 day savings account at ABSA bank traderoute mall on the 26th of september 2013. On the 16th of November 2013, I visited the bank and gave notice on this very account, recorded by a consulant named "Judy". On the 18th of December 2013, I spoke to a consultant named "Enerstine" who told me that I had not given notice on my account and that I will have o pay a penalty amount on my account. I asked her if she could call "Judy" the consultant that i spoke to on that particular day when notice was given. Enerstine calmly smiled and replied by stating that there is definitely no consultant by the name of "Judy" who works at the traderoute branch. I then asked her for the consultant who frequently deals with clients at the front desk, as I could recognize her by face. Enerstine then called for an Ntombi Zondo, and I immediately recognized the face. I then told Enerstine that this had been the lady who assisted me and both of them laughed and with ease ignored me, adamantly requesting that I sign the form as they already processed the withdrawal. I closed my account!! I will not accept thi type of unprofessional behaviour, service is appalling!!!
