I received a visit from one of your consultants saying that he is representing DMC (CHERIFF OF THE COURT) and that the matter is regarding a TRUWORTHS Account I had with TRUWORTHS in early 2007. He said that the reference for the contract no is 5280713 . I was told that this debt was to be paid by me, and he told me how much I need to pay per month DMC has never contacted me in the last 3 years to claim payment of this account and in terms of the Prescription Act debts are to be written off if not claimed within 3 years of last payment. Also, it is stated that the creditor has 3 years to attempt to contact the debtor regarding these accounts. Recent contact from DMC was on 08/01/2013 was the first time since early 2010 since I've been contacted by anyone regarding my debt as to my knowledge, which was confirmed by my Attorney, as per the Prescription Act, I do not have to repay this debt any longer as it has lapsed past the 3 year mark. I told Mr Booysen that, and that he is not allowed to come to my work place and harras me. Which according to him he can and that the I need to pay the acc as it has not lapsed. This needs to be resolved ASAP, or I will take this matter further.
