Shocking Service for the Aged

My father had a car accident, not his fault, 03.12.2013, I am still trying to get answers as to when he will be paid out, it is over a month and they are without transport, they do not care, I keep being told they would come back to me and have spoken to them daily for the last week and yet nobody has the decency to ring either of us. We cannot even get an amount of how much he will get so we can start looking, infact they are telling us there is now a R7000 excess - I ask how this is possible and am told someone will call me back. This is not the first time we have had issues with Standard Bank Insurance, he was ill advised 13 years ago and we only just found out he did not have building inusrance but they sold him contents over and above his needs and car. His geyser burst, had to pay cash and only then found out all this. They don't seem to care and my parents are now 80 so they have paid their fair share of insurance, why would it take so long, I am also told Maggie is on leave, so does everyones life go on hold if someone is on leave??? very frustrated client, I bank with Standard bank and am starting to rethink my options
