SHOCKING CUSTOMER SERVICE

On Dec 17th I submitted application forms to our financial advisor at ABSA for repayment of some of our investment money which should take 5 working days and which we needed for our holiday. When I queried why this money was not paid into our banking account on the 27th of December, ABSA informed me that ABSA Investment Management Service (AIMS) told them they had not received the forms and after numerous phone calls we were told that if we can get another set of forms filled in before 1pm ABSA process the forms immediately and the money would be in our banking account again with the promise of 5 working days. We had to rush to ABSA in Welkom where we were on holiday. The forms were faxed through to AIMS and we received SMS confirmation to confirm receipt of the forms. On Monday the 30th of December we received another SMS from AIMS telling us that we must contact our bank because the form was incomplete which in fact was not the case, but the fact was that they suddenly had both forms. 2 people at AIMS promised to send our request to higher authority for payment and we would be notified either way and until today, 6 January, we have no money and no word from either ABSA or AIMS.
