Taking money saved without my consent

We put an extra amount of money in our access bond with the intention of using that money towards the end of the year and we have been told that we can always have access to that money all we have to do was to apply for it via access bond. Before we switched to the titanium cards we had our accounts linked to our bond accounts and the balance of that amount was always reflecting. We then switched to those titanium cards and it was a mission to just link our accounts with our bond account. When we applied to withdraw the extra amount we have deposited into our accounts thats when we received an sms to say we should link the accounts which we did at centurion mall branch. On the 31st of Dec when we phoned to enquired we were told that the extra amount we had saved has been distributed on interest that has not been paid in April or May which was news to my ears as no one has ever contacted me or my husband to tell us that our acc was in arrears. How does Standard Bank just decide to take someones savings and "distribute" it without even consulting them? why didnt someone contact us before so that arrangements of some sort can be made. Can Standard bank pls give us our money back
