I have a credit card with Nedbank, of which the card expired and I need to apply for a new card. Previously I had payment arrangements on the card, but I paid more than the arranged amount, and it has been paid up. Firstly I went to the branch, where I was told they couldn't help me, I needed to phone the customer service department, which I did. After a whole hour of being put from the one consultant to the other, I was finally told they wouldn't issue me with a new card, and that I have to apply for a new account. Problem is, the card account is still in credit with over R1000 and they still won't help me! According to the statements I receive, there is still an outstanding amount on the budget side, but they don't take the credit amount on the revolving side to the budget side. I also have a loan account, which is also in credit, where they keep phoning me every day. This is totally the worst bank to do business with in the whole of South Africa!
