Still being billed

On the 23rd December 2013 i called the call centre to cancel my policy and my husbands. I was then advised to send an email to cancel the policy's, which i did on the 24th December 2013, my email clearly stated to cancel the policy's with immediate effect and not to deduct the premium for January 2014. On the 1st January 2014 when my husband checked his account the premium's were deducted. I want a refund and policy's cancelled.
