What a run around!

So i applied for a personal loan online with FNB. Loan is approved - quotation is sent through to me, Sign it etc, forward email through with supporting documents. 24 hours later I receive a SMS stating the supporting documents are to be brought through to the bank. After a long wait in queue, was helped by a consultant, Mrs Jacobs, who forwarded my documents through, and said that within approximately 30 minutes the documents will be received and the money paid out shortly after. I waited approximately 3 hours and then phoned the 0861 404040 number for progress. Suddenly after all this, the loan is declined. Why forward a quotation etc, plus set the expectation that the money would be available in less than a hour, if the loan had not been approved as yet??? Thank you FNB. What a let down right at the start of 2014.
