Last week I applied for a personal loan of R120 000 - the main reason for the loan was so I can have one loan to repay instead of multiple loans. The application was submitted to Capitec on the 15th January 2013. The 16th January a Sales Consultant contacted me to request that I forward all the necessary documentation through. The documents were sent at 08h19 on 16/01/2013 to Sergio Lingeveldt. At 10h13 he sent me an email requesting more documentation, but before I forwarded the document I sent him an email to enquire whether my application will be approved because I don't want to make the necessary arrangements to get all my documentation if it's going to be declined. He then asked for my telephone number and explained to me that he has done all the calculations and just need the outstanding documentation to support his calculation to get the approval from his manager. At 12h45 I went to my bank to get the final documentation and forwarded it through to Sergio. A few hours later my application was declined - due to the fact that I resigned at Nedbank. Just got to show that Capitec Bank is no better than any of the other banks. USELESS when it comes to helping people.
