I applied for finance through the online process with WesBank on Monday 23 Dec. received initial approval almost instantly and confirmed that I will be contacted by someone within 6 working hours to complete the process.
I had no response from WesBank until I emailed them, only after this did I receive a list of required documents which I sent them immediately.
By Tuesday 13:00 I had not heard anything from them at which time I tried phoning the call center, I only got through on the 4th attempt. I was given a name and an email address for Johanna who was working on my case and told of outstanding documents. I emailed this to Johanna immediately.
Until now I have sent another 5 emails to Johanna, phoned the call center 13 times (got through 3 times), each time being told the documents are still outstanding and Johanna will contact me shortly.
No emails or phone calls received up to date.
I understand it is the festive season and things move slower than usual, but blatantly ignoring your customers, no progress updates, not even confirming received documents is very bad.
I will now use another provider, deal approved, all docs, interest rate, repayment amount, all in 6 hours.
