We opened 2 accounts with Capitec as my husband was leaving for the DRC. I specifically asked the consultant how long wire transfers take to reflect in the account. Her answer - They work through Nedbank but it usually take a day. With that in mind we opened the 2 accounts just to find out a month down the line that wire transfers take up to 14 days. On the 27th my husbands salary was paid from the DRC and not reflecting by the end of the day I went to the Mall @ Reds Branch. The consultant at enquiries was very rude and said I must wait for the money to reflect and very iterated told me that he does not know how wire transfers work. I demanded to speak to some one who knows and the branch manager was called in. He also very irritated told me to speak to another consultant as he was going home. I cant get through to the Forex Call Centre and holds for 10 minutes at a time. This is unacceptable.
