After proving to MFC (a division of NEDBANK LTD) during a recorded meeting with senior MFC Management
plus the owner of CAR KING 3 Newlands Mr Benru Marais and us that MFC financed a DEFECTIVE vehicle plus a ILLEGAL transaction and IGNORED the LEGAL stipulations in the CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT
MFC took sides with and protected this Unscrupulous (a term used by The Motor Industries Ombudsman) USED CAR DEALER.They kept on stating what an accommodating person he is plus offered an additional R20, 000 to be financed to repair the vehicle at our cost. The IDA (Independant Dealer Association) plus SA
Consumer Complaints (Accredited Mediator) has since ruled in our favour. CAR KING 3 NEVER offered to repair the vehicle at their cost plus Mr Benru Marais wanted us to commit purchasing a warranty for a defective vehicle. We since contacted Mr Benru Marais and made him a VERY fair offer to resolve this matter but sadly he refused. The complaint is escalated to The Consumer Protection Council and The Motor Industries Ombudsman. It is very sad that a FINANCIAL INSTITUTION like MFC blatantly ignores the LAW.Our only resort now is to the BANKING OMBUDSMAN against NEDBANK LTD and MFC.
