Non acceptance of settlement amount

On 09 December 2013 I requested a settlement on my loan and was given an amount of R4519.73. As I bank with another bank I did the transfer on the 9th and it reflected in their account on the 10th of December. On 20 December my debit order still went off my banking account even though I had settled the loan. Company advises that as the payment was late on their side that the account was not settled and I wont receive a refund of my full installment that was paid on 20 December. How much could the difference have been on a settlement of R4 519.73 for 1 day (maybe 2 cents).

In the last 2 months I have paid in 4 lump sums into my 2 loans in order to settle them. I have paid in over R115K to settle the loans and I am given trouble over a few cent deal when I met my commitment to pay on the 9th.

This is an insult and a disgrace. I could not even be given a reference for the call from a well established financial institution???
