I was recently called by Std Bank's call center to be notified that I needed to change my account from a student achiever to a standard bank elite account (or greater). I did this and was happy with the service etc as everything went smoothly and my funds etc were transferred in to the new account. However, when i logged on to internet banking I saw my limit I had asked for was not set and I had to go in to the branch the next day to fix this (retardedly you cannot do this via cellphone banking). The next day I tried to withdraw money from an ATM which told me my PIN number was wrong (although it wasn't) and that I needed to go back in to the branch to fix this. The branch told me however that there is a problem with the new cards and they do not know when this is going to be fixed. I now find myself with a half useful account and I demand that someone from Std Bank contact me to fix this NOW. I do not want a bank account I cannot use. I will move myself and my family's accounts to a more reliable bank. This is not on. Fix your poor systems and let me use my own money!
