Standard Bank employees slacking

My friend and I recently started working. We updated our student accounts to cheque accounts 2 months ago at the Bryanston branch. We were told we'd receive new bank cards within 10 working days, 1 month later the cards hadn't arrived- we returned to the bank and were told we would be contacted- we weren't. My friend returned again last week and waited for 2 hours, only to be told that we would be contacted again, again, no one contacted us.

Also, when we originally enquired about potential bank accounts we were told the "Achiever" account would be the only account for us. I later found out that people with Law Degrees qualify for the "platinum package" which the Bryanston Branch completely neglected to tell us about and which I would have preferred in order to start building a credit history.

I have also sent Standard Bank a secure message THREE times asking for my EFT limit to be increased, I was contacted once and when I called the number left on the voicemail, it rang without an answer.

These three incidents have left me extremely annoyed and disillusioned, the banking industry is very competitive & I will take my business elswhere if I do not hear from Standard Bank soon.
