I got to say, Standard Bank is very consistent at being the worst bank in South Africa when it comes to customer service.

Contact center agents are almost always clueless when you need help. I have too many qualms than this document can take with this *Beep bank. Can't they learn from the competition like FNB. Today I struggled to acquire my one time password all day and after several calls from being shunted from telephone banking to prestige banking to private banking to business banking, to internet bank to contact center to just about everywhere. I just needed to pay a supplier and all these consultants knew to tell me was that they could not help me (Ref 70004055699, 42955760) and after about 3 hours later I get help from one of my employees who indicate that the bank should be able to change from sms to email, none of their consultants suggested this all they told was I should wait for the system to be fixed or I should go to a branch at 4PM, which branch is open

My days with this bank have finally come to an end, I now have enough motivation to go through the process of relocating all my accounts to another bank.

Bye-bye Sub-Standard Bank, keep moving forward
