I recently took a Smart Loan with First National Bank on the 11th of December 2013, the consultant that helped me, (Micheal) with the application, told me that it takes up to 2 working days to be approved, on Friday 13 December 2013 I received a SMS stating that I must resubmit my documentation.

Arriving at the bank quite confused I went to Micheal and showed him the SMS I received. His response was that all documentation has been sent accordingly. He contacted the Head office to confirm with them that the documentation has been submitted. The head office's response was that my ID document needs to be stamped my the branch where I applied for the loan and to resubmit the ID with the bank stamp.

So to begin with, the employees at the Pretoria North branch does not seem to keen on helping their customers, they cannot do paperwork properly and in terms of feedback there is none after they promised that they will phone me back.

Its been 6 working days, 9 days in total inc. weekend days, that I see no results. When I contact FNB Customer Care line they say that my application is still in process.

Really this is just pathetic service...
