Pathetic service

I received an e-mail threatening me with legal action because I haven't paid bank costs. My account has been inactive since I haven't used in in 3 months. The bank costs for those 3 months has eaten up the money I left in the account. I never received a sms or phone call that my account is in arrears and that I need to settle it. After receiving the e-mail dated the 29/11/2013 I went to the bank to pay my account upon which I'm told I can't settle the account as it is closed and that I need to go to customer services for them to start a recall of some sort. After wasting an hour and a half of my life I was finally able to pay the outstanding amount. According to FNB's ad they are a better bank than the opposition. Well I've got news for them ABSA contacts their clients and don't just close accounts on a whim. I will be closing my daughter's account with them shortly.
