Credit Card Account still not closed

I can't explain how much Absa Bank irritates me. Not only is it always the bank with the worst interest rates or offers when you want to get a loan or finance, but the service one gets is 9 out of 10 times horrendous. After spending hours at the bank trying to close my Credit Card recently - firstly transferring the balance via internet banking, being left with R18 or so still outstanding - which I paid cash in the bank. Even after this there was an odd R1 or so STILL outstanding. This odd R1 or so the lady at enquiries transferred from my savings to settle the account AND I spoke with someone at the call centre from the bank's phone to confirm that she should CLOSE THE ACCOUNT, AND she confirmed its closure. But now my question is, WHY ON EARTH DO I STILL RECEIVING AN E-MAIL STATEMENT with and outstanding amount of R1.73 on it? Please sort this out! PLEASE!!!
