First Claim - Takes 8 days and still no response

On Tues 10/12/2013, the spare tyre was from my Fortuner. I informed AG. I explained to them I travel 140km per day and can not afford to go without a spare. They said no I dont have to report this to the SAPS as they handle everything over the telephone. Since its my first claim I was informed that there is a R 4400 "threshold". I contacted Toyota and received the quote on the "rimm" R 3500 and the tyre from different suppliers. All of this added to more than the "threshold". Thursday was told by Dineo that my claim is less than the threshold and I must go ahead and pay. I told her, the disk and the tyre needs to be replaced and it way over the threshold. Now she needs the name of my previous insurer. I emailed her my previous policy number and the contact name I had with them. Apparently she cant get hold of them nor, now honestly, is this my problem? And today she needs a case number from the SAPS. I want my claim to be sorted out as I am going on leave on Friday.
