R20462 was used on my wife's ABSA Garage Card. I contacted ABSA division, Stop Card and ABSA private bank division. Response from ABSA - The matter will be investigated. Then I received - an SMS that said quote "Herewith we request that you refer to the merchant to credit your account" Does not tell me who the SMS is from, does not tell me who the merchants are. I tried to follow up to get more information and was told "The SMS was sent out by ABSA Dispute Division and they do not have phones so you cannot contact them" So this is the way ABSA treats customers of 20 years standing. Unbelievable and unacceptable. But try getting to a SENIOR person - they all hide behind the call centre facade.
