I was told by SMS and Telephone, that my Credit card was at Fourways. However I was informed that card could not be sent to Bryanston, it is a Sub branch. Drove to Fourways. No Parking as usual. Then stood in a queue, no seating for elderly people, common at Std Bank. Got petrol card but told Credit Card at Bryanston. I then remembered that the same thing happened before and when I went to Bryanston, was told that it was in fact at Fourways. Went back and there it was. Therefore, today, I phoned Standard Bank's exasperating "help Line"; for over an hour. Had to phone three times, just to find if my card is at Bryanston. They will not disclose any Branch's telephone number. After 55 years at Std Bank I will be switching to FNB who at least deliver cards. What has happened to our Banking industry, they charge for every activity and yet their service is appalling.
