Standard Bank
Standard Bank ripped me off

I had a previous complaint directed at this banking institution. At first things seemed promising when I got a response from Dawud Abdin at Standard Bank. But my optimism was soon shattered when I called him to get an answer on my VAF settlement figure. He told me I owed around R 5500.00. I told him the previous figure I got was more like R 11000.00 and he assured me it was not the case and that some funds had not been allocated. I asked him to make sure. I waited two weeks and got a response (after calling and sending mail) that the figure was indeed more like R 11000.00 and that half of it was for interest. I asked him why I was being charged so much interest as I was under Debt Review and got a response from him, passing the buck, requesting that somebody else explain to me how they got to that figure. That was 11 days ago and I have not heard a thing. I can honestly say that Standard Bank do a fine job of employing people that are good at avoiding questions and passing the buck for the purpose of giving one the run-around. I can only assume they are hoping i'll get frustrated and stop asking questions and pay them.
