I applied for a homeloan online on 23 November. I sent through supporting documents on 25 November. I obtained no feedback until I called call center. There have been endless stumbling blocks and promises which were not delivered. The valuer went to the property on 6 December and sent though valuation report to ABSA on the same day. ABSA has requested the information from him repeatedly which he supplies. On 9 Dec my application was cancelled because, according to ABSA, the valuer said I was taking up a loan with another bank. The valuer confirmed to me that he did not say that. I was told on 11 December that I would get final grant on 12 December. Today I have been informed that the application went back to valuations again to request the valuation of the property which was done on 6 December. They have missed countless SLA's on their side on a time sensitive application on an SIE Property that I bought in an auction. I'm highly frustrated and highly disappointed in their progress. Being a Platinum client, I would hope that things would occur faster than this. This is unacceptable customer service from an inefficient online tool that is supposed to be efficient.
